What does the Tilt–BambooHR integration cover, and what do I still have to do manually?
Demographics sync automatically, but pay history doesn't — here's what your team still handles by hand.
Tilt automatically pulls employee demographic and job data from BambooHR every day. It does not pull pay history, so your team still handles pay schedules, pay stubs, and one leave survey question by hand.
Who this applies to
- HR Admins and Leave Specialists at companies with the Tilt–BambooHR integration connected.
- Anyone managing a leave request for an employee whose data comes from BambooHR.
- Applies once your BambooHR integration is already connected — see "How do I connect Tilt to BambooHR?" if you haven't set it up yet.
Steps
- Create and maintain pay schedules in Tilt yourself — BambooHR data doesn't include this.
- Upload pay stubs when an employee submits a leave, or send Tilt a pay history file.
- Answer the 1,250-hours eligibility question by hand on each leave survey. Tilt can't calculate this automatically from BambooHR data.
What if it doesn't work
- Connection error while linking BambooHR? The Merge connection screen displays a clear error message — check it and share the exact text with Tilt Support.
- Not sure if your integration is healthy? Tilt monitors integration health on an ongoing basis and reaches out if something needs your attention.
- Think something's wrong but haven't heard from Tilt? Contact Tilt Support directly rather than waiting.
Limits and exceptions
- The integration is one-way and does not ingest pay history from BambooHR.
- Tilt can't automatically answer the 1,250-hours eligibility question — this is always manual.
- Pay schedules aren't created automatically — you set these up directly in Tilt.
- Data syncs once a day; it isn't real-time.
- Tilt does not store SSNs, dates of birth, or street addresses from BambooHR.
