What if it doesn't work
- If a field is empty on a row, that field wasn't updated in that specific change. Only fields that changed are populated in the Changes column.
- If you see null in the Changes column, that data point didn't exist before — this row is a new request, not an update to an existing block.
- If a Status Notes entry looks like it's missing context, your Leave Specialist may not have added a note for that change.
Limits and exceptions
- The Change Log covers changes to leave time blocks only — not changes to other parts of a leave plan (like documents or benefits).
- Data is timestamped in PST regardless of your time zone.
- The Change Log is exported as a CSV. Use a spreadsheet application (like Google Sheets or Excel) to open and filter it.
- Your Leave Specialist can leave open-ended notes in the Status Notes column. If a note doesn't match one of the auto-populated messages, it likely came from your Leave Specialist.
- If you can't download the Change Log at all, your company may not have this controlled feature enabled. See How do I download the Leave Time Status Change Log in Tilt? for details on requesting access through your Customer Success Manager.
