What is the Tilt Workday integration, and how do I get set up?

Connect Tilt and Workday in two parts — configure access in Workday first, then finish the connection in Tilt.

The Workday integration lets Tilt automatically pull employee, contact, staffing, and payroll data from Workday so you don't have to enter it manually. Setup happens in two parts: you configure access in Workday first, then connect it in Tilt.

Who this applies to / Prerequisites

  • HR admins and IT/Workday admins setting up Tilt for the first time.
  • The Workday integration must be included in your current Tilt subscription. Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) if you want to add it.
  • You need an active Workday subscription.
  • You need admin access in both Workday and Tilt to complete setup.

What if it doesn't work

  • If you're not sure whether your subscription includes the Workday integration, contact your CSM before starting setup.
  • If you don't have admin access in Workday, ask your Workday administrator to either complete the Workday-side steps or grant you temporary access.

Limits and exceptions

  • This integration is one-way (Workday → Tilt) by default. It does not push leave or time-off data back into Workday unless you separately set up 2-way integration permissions.
  • If you don't use Workday for payroll, Tilt won't be able to create pay calendars through this integration — see the pay calendar error article.
  • Setup requires access to both systems. Tilt Support can't complete the Workday-side configuration on your behalf.
