What leave data does Tilt send to Rippling?

Once you publish a leave plan in Tilt, Tilt automatically sends the leave details to Rippling, where they show up in Rippling's Time-Off app.

Who this applies to / Prerequisites

• HR users with the Rippling Integration installed on their Tilt account
• Applies only to leave plans that have been published in Tilt — draft or unpublished plans don't sync

Steps

1. Publish the leave plan in Tilt.
2. Tilt automatically sends the leave record to Rippling — there's no manual export step.
3. Rippling displays the leave information in its Time-Off app.
4. Allow 15–30 minutes for it to appear. If it still hasn't shown up, check whether the weekly full sync needs to run — see [How does data sync between Rippling and Tilt?].
1. The fields Tilt sends are: Leave ID, Employee ID, First Name, Last Name, Email, Leave Type, Leave Type Other, Leave Schedule, Leave Start Date, Leave End Date, Time Off Start Date, Time Off End Date, Stage, Event Type, Created At, and Updated At.

What if it doesn't work

• Leave not showing in Rippling's Time-Off app? Confirm the leave plan is published in Tilt. Unpublished or draft plans never sync.
• Still missing after 30 minutes? Check the last sync time on the Integrations page in Org Settings in Tilt.
• Leave Type Other field is blank? That's expected — it only populates when Leave Type is set to "Other."

Limits and exceptions

• Only published leave plans sync to Rippling. Drafts stay in Tilt only.
• This is a one-way sync: Tilt sends leave data to Rippling. Tilt doesn't pull leave data back from Rippling's Time-Off app.
• Leave Type Other only appears when Leave Type is "Other" — it's blank for every other Leave Type by design.
